DANVILLE, VIRGINIA – The Partnership for Regional Prosperity, an organization focused on growth coming to Danville and Pittsylvania County, will host an event to share the results of a series of community workshops designed to prioritize regional challenges and opportunities aligned with growth. The breakfast will be June 21, 2023 at 7:30-10:30 a.m. at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research.
The program also will feature Greg Payne of Economic Leadership LLC presenting “Growth Goes Where It’s Easiest,” case studies of communities facing opportunities for significant growth.
The Partnership also will share the next steps in its work and invite input from attendees.
From December to April, the Partnership held workshops around the region called The Big Sort, a table-top exercise in which participants evaluated regional and national trends
for their local impact, certainty, and community readiness. The results, to be interpreted at the June 21 event, will inform the work of the Partnership for Regional Prosperity as it continues to engage the community in a future-forward mindset and collaborative strategy that will prepare citizens, business, and government for the change that comes from anticipated growth.
The breakfast costs $10 and participants can register at https://tinyurl.com/BigSortRecap
