The Partnership for Regional Prosperity has a mission to:

Cultivate strategic transformation by convening, encouraging, and organizing efforts to build prosperity.

About

Since 2018, more than $1.1 billion in economic development projects, promising more than 4,000 jobs, have been announced for the Danville Pittsylvania County region and it is critical that the community is prepared for the serious growth coming from this success.

Danville City Council and the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors formed the Partnership for Regional Prosperity in 2020 by appointing a steering committee to examine the change coming and knowing that planning for that change will produce the best outcomes.

The Partnership will contribute by:

  • Researching issues
  • Sharing information
  • Convening community conversations
  • Promoting collaboration
  • Encouraging a future-forward mindset
  • Identifying and aligning resources

Think of the Partnership as a civic think tank and convener to share knowledge about what is ahead for our region and involve the community in identifying, understanding, and seeking solutions to challenges while leveraging opportunities that come from advancing the economy.  This collaborative action is an opportunity to make Danville and Pittsylvania County models of future-forward thinking and action.

The Partnership for Regional Prosperity has a vision for the region:

To be a model of opportunity and a great place to call home.
